Therapy With Me
I bring my unique comfort with and knowledge of relational dynamics to the individuals, couples, and families I works with. I bring an approachable, empathetic nature to the couples and families she works with, combining compassionate listening and deep curiosity to meet each person where they are. I use a strengths-based, systemic approach integrating Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques into my work.
Who I work with:
Couples & Partners
I help clients to break patterns that are no longer working, communicate more effectively, resolve relationship crises, and learn more about themselves as partners and as people. I see clients from all backgrounds and relationship styles, including LGBTQ+ community and those in non-monogamous relationship structures. I have expertise in supporting clients to identify and understand patterns that are not working and with the client, co-create goals to support growth and change for both the self and relationships.
In couples work, I work predominantly with the model of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) or sometimes called a theory of love, which helps couples move from disconnection to attunement, responsiveness and engagement.
Individuals
Individual clients often attend therapy with me to work on issues related to their relationships- this could be a partner, a child, another family member or a co-worker, however all areas of personal growth are welcome. I work with a humanistic lens, believing that all clients have the potential for growth and change.
Families
We are all born into family systems that lay a foundation and teach us how to show up in relational dynamics. Sometimes, there are patterns that emerge that create dysfunction within the family. I help to give each family member a voice and a space to be heard, bring family members closer, bring awareness to the communication patterns and helps the family practice “relationships.” Family Therapy creates a safe space to share what’s not been said and discover things we didn’t even know had to be said! Often family therapy is not long term and could be anywhere from 6-20 sessions. Goals are co-created together as we work to create a family life that is filled with more ease and joy.
